The event began with a welcome by Professor Rae Frances, Dean, Faculty of Arts, and Professor Koichi Iwabuchi, Director of the Monash Asia Institute.

This was followed by a Panel presentation entitled: ‘Panel presentation Are We Here Now? South Asia in Australia Panel. The panel was moderated by coordinator of SADIRN, Associate Professor Chandani Lokuge. Speakers on the panel were Mridula Nath Chakraborty, Anupama Pilbrow, Prakash Subedi and Ali Saha.
